In olden days there were clansmen and women from clans all over the world who felt there had to be something more. What had happened to the meaning of the "Clan Gathering?" Rules and regulations were smothering their sense of humor. They yearned to be free. Some were even heard to lament, "I want to spend more time in the beer garden and less in the Clan tent!"

One day a clanswoman said, "Enough is enough! I want to have fun again!" Others heard her cry and rallied around her saying, "Hey, Jimmie! Me, too!" An idea was born - a mythical Clan based on fun and fellowship and funkyness. And so, the Clan MacAle was born, the crest designed, and the Web sites registered.

Each year the Clan grew in numbers as members told two friends who told two friends and so on, and so on, and so on...

The rest is history. Time to have fun...slainte!

The Clan MacAle

There's a band of drinkers
They're dirty rotten stinkers
Known throughout the land as Clan MacAle.

No matter what their age
Or the alcoholic beverage
They were born to consume it without fail.

The cider's for the ladies
And you'd rather be in Hades
Then steal their drink and have to face their wrath.

Some men they drink whiskey
they found it made them frisky
And nothing moving is ever safe in their path.

But most, they drink beer
Any stout that is near
Amber, IPA or anything made with hops.

And when they have a party
It will keep going hearty
'Til the beer is gone or the last person drops.

If you know woman or man
Who you think is in the clan
There really is an easy way for you to tell...

Just pour yourself some liquor
and if the person drinks it quicker
then you know they are a part of Clan MacAle!
